CPSSA Schools head off to the State Cup!

Well done to our schools who entered a total of 32 teams to participate in the CPSSA Leaguetag carnival on Tuesday 12 August 2014. It was a cold and windy day but that did not stop the effort and enthusiasm of the 350 students, teachers and parents who thoroughly enjoyed the day. Many thanks to Wayde from WA Rugby League and the the staff and students of Atwell College for refereeing some 64 matches.

The top two performing schools in A division were Christ the King and Mater Christi. They have been invited to compete in the WARL State Cup later this term. From all of us here at CPSSA – Good Luck!

Next up – Leaguetag!

The CPSSA is proud to work in conjunction with West Australian Rugby League to present the 2014 CPSSA Leaguetag Carnival on August 12, 2014.

The students and teachers are excited about this event – a favourite sport amongst the students at our schools.

Leaguetag is a fast and exciting game which highlights skill and speed along with teamwork.

It is a modified version of Rugby League. Many of you may have seen the exciting State of Origin Series played out on the East Coast of Australia between NSW and QLD. Leaguetag uses velcro tags worn on a players belt instead of tackling. It is safe, fun and suitable for all students – boys and girls.

We hope to see many spectators there to cheer on our teams.
