2018 Lightning Carnival: Soccer, Volleyball, Netball and Football

Our major participation carnival is just around the corner.  On Tuesday 19 June students will be competing at multiple venues in their chosen sports.

Fixtures and carnival information is now available for all 4 sports.  Please be aware that occasionally schools need to make last minute changes which will require fixture amendments.  Links below:

Soccer at Beale Park, Hamilton Hill.

Netball at Fremantle Netball Association.

Volleyball at Frank Gibson Park, Fremantle.Volleyball at Frank Gibson Park, Fremantle.

St Bernie’s dominate basketball!

Yesterday we had our annual CPSSA basketball carnival and it was an absolute thriller. Close games, talented players and a noisy stadium filled with cheering – we had it all!

St Bernadette’s won both the girls and boys competition.  You can find a summary of results here.

We are only a few weeks out from our Winter Lightning Carnival.  Children choose to compete in either football, soccer, netball or volleyball.  Schools are busily finalising their teams, fixtures will be finalised and posted ASAP.

2018 Dates

We are back again for another year of interschool sport!  Our first event is still a while away – swimming at Rockingham Aquatic on 10 April at Rockingham Aquatic.  There will be more information available closer to the event.  You can see the proposed dates for all our events here: 2018 Carnival Dates and Venues.

Good luck to all the students and teachers preparing for their own house swimming carnivals.   We look forward to seeing the interschool squads in action at the end of the term!

Cricket results and 2017 over!

We concluded our 2017 events with a exciting and sunny day of cricket at Santich Park.  Well done to all the students who participated.  I would like to thank Cherie Pernie and her staff at the WACA for supporting and umpiring our carnival.  I would also like to thank Cockburn Little Athletics for opening their canteen and allowing us to use their excellent facilities.

The winners were as follows:

Boys A Division: St Jerome’s

Girls A Division: Queen of Apostles

Boys B Division: St Jerome’s

Girls B Division: Yidarra

A full list of results can be found in the Results section of this website.

Cricket Carnival – 21 November 2017

The time has come for our final carnival of the year.  Boys and Girls will compete in separate divisions on Tuesday 21 November at Santich Park, Munster.  We follow the T20 Blast format at this carnival which has modified rules to makes cricket quicker, more inclusive of different abilities and action packed!
